Abruzzo trembles

This morning at 3.32, a long earthquake of great intensity (about 6 Richter), hit the outskirts of L'Aquila, devastating entire villages and hamlets such as Pagan, Tempera, Onna, Castelnuovo, Fossa, and the city Aquila. A real tragedy.
Hundreds dead, thousands wounded, tens of thousands displaced.
L'Aquila, the regional capital, with the passage of time is becoming a ghost town, with at least 50% of homes damaged and very high risk of collapse (because other small aftershocks continue to shake the earth surrounding ).
churches, palaces, monuments, much of the historical and artistic heritage of one of the most beautiful cities of Abruzzo and Italy went hopelessly compromised. With it was lost forever is also a symbol of the Medici tower S. Stefano di Sessanio, dramatically collapsed.
If this devastation, in some way, can / could also be taken into consideration (one speaks of artifacts from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, subjected to severe stress in one of the areas with the highest seismic risk in Italy) as one of the possible events that can in no way accept is that it is down as a leaf a building built around the 70s, more so if used as the student's home. And so it is outrageous that a public hospital, which opened more recently, has been declared uninhabitable as a result of numerous and massive landslides, resulting in closure of several operating rooms.
the respect they have for the victims of this terrible tragedy, and to this troubled land of Abruzzo, which is not never cease to love, it requires the only way possible, at least at this moment: that of silence.
